BC PNP Latest Draw: Cutoff Scores Continue to Rise

The latest BC PNP draw on March 12, 2024, issued 187 invitations for permanent residency across several targeted categories. The draw focused on individuals in tech (65 invites, early childhood education (54 invites), construction (30 invites), healthcare (38 invites), and a small number for veterinary care. Cutoff scores up by 5 points from the previous draw. This targeted approach aims to address specific labor market needs in British Columbia.
 

3 New Ontario-OINP Draws Sent 2,639 PR Invitations

In a significant push for skilled talent, Ontario's OINP issued 2,639 PR invitations on March 12th across three streams: General, Skilled Trades, and targeted Healthcare and Tech sectors. The general draw extended 1,306 invites to international students with scores of 72 or above. The skilled trades draw targeted 63 occupations, issuing 649 invites to those scoring 66+, while the combined Healthcare and Tech draw resulted in 684 invitations for profiles scoring 72+.

 

New Transport-Focused Express Entry Draw Issues 975 PR Invites

Canada's Express Entry system has unveiled its first targeted draw for the year 2024, issuing 975 invitations for permanent residency specifically to candidates from 10 transport occupations with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cutoff of 430. This strategic move follows the general draw on March 12, which saw 2,850 candidates being invited with a higher CRS score of 525. The targeted transport occupations draw marks a significant shift in the selection criteria, aiming to fulfill specific sector needs within Canada’s workforce.
